synopsis

"Van Mens en Muis" is a film about a laboratory animal research facility and the unequal power dynamic between humans and mice—animals that are genetically remarkably similar to us. The documentary explores the tension between our drive to defeat cancer and our sense of responsibility to protect animals from unnecessary suffering and pain, along with all the ethical issues that arise from this.
